Only through March 11th – the Florida Strawberry Festival is open Daily from 10am to 10pm. There is daily entertainment, plus a midway for kids, contests, livestock, rabbits, chickens, and pig races. Booths where you can create your own Strawberry shortcake with as much whipped topping as you like, then go get your teeth whitened, or buy a flag. Of course there is the deep fried Twinkie, along with the corndogs, and other food vendors we expect. Discount tickets are available at Sweetbay Supermarket, plus you avoid the lines at the ticket booths. Just outside the gates you can get a full flat of Strawberries to take home – my personal favorite is the Wish Farms at $9 for the flat of 12 berry containers!
