Book by Arthur Kopit, Music by Maury Yeston, adapted from the Italian by Mario Fratti. Nine is the winner of the 1982 Tony® Award for Best Musical, and the 2003 Tony® Award for Best Revival of a Musical. It is based on Fellini’s classic film 8 ½ and tells the fictional story of a celebrated film director, Guido Contini.
