Lakefront Entrance Upgrade

As you may recall from our March Newsletter, we are moving forward with the upgrade of our Lakefront entrance with a state of the art security and surveillance package.

During the week of April 9th and April 16th, we will be installing a Bar Code Reader that will read the current sticker on your vehicle and provide access to the Lakefront community. It will be programmed to only permit Lakefront Bar Codes to activate the gate.

We will also be installing surveillance cameras at the gate area and at the keypad to view the gates, license plates, and a facial camera. Our camera system will be projected at the Guardhouse to allow Guards to also view activity at our entrance.

Our goal is to ensure that the transition is seamless and that you, your guests, and vendors have a secure, monitored, and consistent method of entry to our Lakefront community.

If you have questions or suggestions please feel free to contact a Board member via e-mail.
What you need to do to prepare:
• Your present barcode will operate the new Lakefront system
• If you need extra bar codes vehicles registered to your home you can purchase them from Parveen at CAM Lake County for $10 each
• Tell your guests that they will need to dial your home from the keypad to gain access or they may call back to the Guardhouse
• All codes will be eliminated
• Again Gates will remain closed 24/7 after the install
• Please be patient through the construction process. Something WILL go wrong

Spring is time for Sprucing

It is that time of year to come out of hibernation and work on sprucing up the house. Please take the time to look at your property and address those things that occur to reduce the exterior beauty of your home like; pressure washing sidewalks and driveway, cleaning rust marks off of walls, removing mold from roofs, repairing lawns and landscape, painting, trimming, and any other necessary maintenance to make your property shine. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation on this task.

Kids on the Run

This is just another friendly reminder to help maintain the safety of our children. The neighborhood is filling up with Kids and continued caution is necessary to prevent accidents. Parents please know what your kids are doing and supervise them at all times when they are using the streets as a playground. We want to allow the children to enjoy themselves, but at the same time we don’t want an accident to occur that we will all regret.

As always, if you have questions or concerns about our neighborhood or if you would be interested in serving on our Board, please feel free to e mail me at rsimpson7@embarqmail.com and I will do my best to act upon your request along with the help of our great Board. ~ Bob Simpson
