From the MP Custom Association

Welcome back to the Custom Board Robyn Rahman, and to the Master Board Jim Rahman. They fill the seats opened from Cary Amcher’s departure. We thank them for stepping up to help our community.

Our Custom Association Annual Meeting is set for Tuesday, November 1st, at 6:30 pm in the Clubhouse. We will be adopting the 2012 budget. If you have an issue you would like the board to consider, please let Parveen know and she will add it to the agenda. In order to meet the requirement we must have at least 30% of the Homeowners represented either in person or by proxy. Please plan to attend or at least send in your proxy for any pressing issues.

Immediately following the Annual Meeting the Board will have its monthly meeting. All Homeowners and residents are invited to attend. Any Homeowner who has thought they would like to participate in the process are encouraged to come to the meetings and express their desire. The Community does not function by chance, but through those that are actively engaged.

The Waterfall…we are in the process of gathering bids that will correct the leak in the main drain. This is a flaw in the original design, and the temporary fix lasted for 12 years. Once this correction is made, we are hopeful to be back up and running with little downtime moving forward.

The Palm Tree struck by lightening has been removed. The Board made the decision at the last meeting to not replace the tree, but may consider other options for the area – different trees or other landscaping.
The sod has been replaced and Frank Polly is returning to correct some of the dead patches and weeds that infested the area. The irrigation system has been refreshed. We have it on the correct schedule ~ time of day, length, etc. Then this last week a lightening surge knocked the program completely out. Our Thanks to Nick Pagano and Ron Gillis for helping us get that back on track.

Three letters were sent out with the coupons for the fourth quarter dues. Please look these over and make sure all in the household understand the policies as we move forward. This was done to clarify the governing docs, and to help neighbors be aware of how they affect the property near them. We ask for cooperation with the new parking rules and existing regulations. The guards have been instructed to never deny access to a person’s property, but access to Magnolia Pointe roads can be limited to approved vehicles – meaning access to the person is not denied, but the vehicle of choice might be. The letters also include a list of recurring infractions. All residents of Magnolia Pointe agreed to abide with the governing documents by living here. If for any reason you do not have a copy of the docs, misplaced them, or the cat shredded them – they are easily available on the Magnolia Pointe website; WWW.Mymagnoliapointe.com at the top of the page is tab for documents, the Master Docs, Custom, ARB forms, are all available there. This website is a great asset, and you can sign up for the monthly newsletter as well. Pass this on to each neighbor so we can reach as many people as possible.
