From the MP Custom Association

Happy New Year, may 2012 bring you joy, peace, and much love. It is hard to believe that another year has come and gone. This is the time of year we take stock…of our lives, our families and loved ones, our financial situation, etc. The same is true for the board.

A few accomplishments this year includes: repairs to the pumps and painting at the fountain (plus it should be running again by next week), new landscape plan for the area, new sod, sprinkler system overhaul, new landscaper is in place, new pool company, spruce up of the magnolia trees, new Holiday lighting, enhancements on several issues of concern to Homeowners, Easter Egg Hunt, repairs done to the pool to help extend its life, safety issues at the playground were addressed, and so many more little things that always seem to crop up. We were forced to tighten our belts and put off some things that we would like to see done, but do not have the finds for. We completed a review of the reserves to make sure we fund them accordingly. We trimmed where we could and kept the dues as low as possible.

While we do not know what this year will hold for us, we look at it with great hope for our community. It is a joy to drive home and see neighbors helping each other, or out chatting. It brings a sense of pride to see the community looking a little greener than before. I hope that this year will be kind to all of us and wish nothing but the best for you and your family.

The board is in need of one more member, and if you have any interest in helping out the community you are encouraged to attend the meeting next week.

The first meeting of the year will be January 10, 2012 at 7pm in the Clubhouse – we hope to see you there. Our Association manager can be reached by e-mail: or phone: 352-404-4116. You may also send a note to the e-mail address for the Association –

All the best in 2012 ~ Joe Ousley
