From the Master HOA President…

Dave Ellis, Master HOA

Greetings neighbors.

I hope that everyone enjoyed their Holidays and lets hope for a great 2011. I think that it is appropriate to look back at 2010 and re-count some of the projects that were completed in Magnolia Pointe. These are difficult and challenging times and we have all heard the horror stories in other community associations but we have done better than most. We are fortunate to have a very active Master Board and individuals in the neighborhood that are always willing to step up and help get things done. Nothing happens by accident. It is all these efforts that this community remains a great place to live.

Some of the projects completed in 2010 are obvious to you, others, not so much. The Bar Code entry system recently added will bring an additional level of security and upgrades our entry process to the most current technology. The rear retention pond was completely reengineered and re-built. The Tot lot got a face-lift. The Dock and Gazebo area was repaired and now receives regular inspection and maintenance. We lit the boat ramp parking area and the Tot lot area. This has virtually eliminated some of the issues we were having in the boat ramp area after dark. Entry landscaping is regularly updated and replanted. The rear fence on the Tennis Courts has been replaced and new wind nets are in place.

We have a regular and informative Newsletter!!!! How about the entry holiday lighting! The list goes on and your Master Board of Directors is already reviewing other plans and projects for 2011. It is our goal to keep Magnolia Pointe as one of the most desired neighborhoods to call home in Lake County. Thanks to my fellow Board members for taking such an active role in the betterment of our community and thanks to the regular group of neighbors that always step up to help.

I am truly honored to serve as your Master HOA Board President and look forward to 2011.
