Crime Report

The Clermont Police Department has implemented a powerful online tool called CrimeReports™ aimed at improving communications with the community, and lowering crime. Citizens can now view local crime data for free by visiting the City of Clermont’s website or by visiting www.crimereports.com.

CrimeReports™ is an online platform that has been integrated with the Clermont Police Department to publish specific crime data, improve information flow and transparency, and create more two-way dialogue between the Police Department and the citizens of Clermont. Police Chief Broadway’s vision for the Police Department is to keep our streets safe, cut down on crime, and foster and nurture a positive relationship between our police officers, the agency, and the community. The implementation of CrimeReports™ is another way to help us accomplish this vision.

Clermont citizens will now be able to:

  • View near real-time online reports of crime in their neighborhood
  • Set-up daily, weekly, or monthly automated reports on a variety of crime types
  • Send anonymous crime tips to the Clermont Police Department
  • Access CrimeReports™ from their smart phone or mobile device

Sheriff Borders and Chief Deputy Peyton Grinnell wanted to let you know that the community alerts section on the Sheriff’s Office web site is now active. The site is www.lcso.org. Hopefully you will find this a useful site.
