With the departure of Florida Cable, Bright House will soon be the service provider of choice for Magnolia Pointe. Bright House Networks is the sixth largest owner and operator of cable systems in the U.S. and the second largest in Florida, with technologically advanced systems located in five states including Florida, Alabama, Indiana, Michigan and California. Offering TV, Internet, Home Phone, and bundles of all or part of these services – Bright House will organize a sign-up event at the clubhouse, stay tuned to your e-mail for dates and times. A notice was sent this last week to all addresses in Magnolia Pointe explaining the need to wait on calling them for service. As soon as they have completed the system upgrades and the testing, we will welcome them with open arms. The agreement with Bright House does offer them exclusive rights to marketing of their products in Magnolia Pointe, but there is no bulk billing provision. The board thanks Dave Ellis for his hard work on getting this agreement together with little cost to the HOA. Thanks also go to Mel Demmers for putting together and compiling the data from the survey of residents last year. This helped Dave negotiate with Florida Cable and get this result.
